Conestoga-Rovers & Associados - Engenharia SA. (CRA South America) is a multidisciplinary company established in 2004, staffed by professionals with over 20 years experience in the fields of civil and environmental engineering, ecology, ecotoxicology, and process engineering and design. 

Currently, CRA Engenharia has multiple offices in Brazil and one in Argentina, as follows:

  • São Paulo, Brazil, has a staff of over 90 including civil, mechanical, electrical, and chemical engineers, as well as design and field personnel. The São Paulo office is also CRA's head office in South America.
  • Belo Horizonte, Brazil, has a staff of over 50 including civil, mechanical, and electrical personnel, working mainly for the metal and mining industries.
  • Manaus, Brazil, has a local staff of two engineers.
  • Belem, Brazil, has with a local staff of three engineers.
  • Buenos Aires, Argentina, has a local staff of three engineers.

 

Through its experienced staff, CRA South America is able to perform a wide variety of engineering and environmental services throughout South America, including:

  1. Environmental Studies:  Environmental Impact Assessment, environmental planning, environmental management, risk assessment (human and ecological), site selection, and environmental licensing
  2. Environmental Control Technology:  Effluent treatment, environmental audits, reclamation of degraded lands, industrial and domestic solid waste management (landfill gas collection and utilization, and hazardous waste disposal), and industrial hygiene
  3. Water Technology:  Water supply system, sanitary sewage system design and implementation, irrigation systems design, and geographic information systems (GIS) technology
  4. Infrastructure:  Highway design and management, street lighting management, industrial infrastructure
  5. Energy Sector:  Basic hydroelectric plant design, inventory studies, feasibility studies, market survey and analysis, and detailed design of LFG-to-energy utilization plants
  6. Industrial Projects:  Basic and detailed design for several industry sectors including chemical and petrochemical, mining and metals, pulp and paper, steel industry, and agribusiness
