Corporate Sustainability, Social Responsibility, and Environmental Policy

CRA will operate in a sustainable and socially and environmentally responsible manner in each and every work place where CRA conducts business. Our Corporate Sustainability, Social Responsibility, and Environmental Policy reflects this commitment.

As a Company, we will:

1. Respect and obey all environmental legislation
2. Maintain our facilities in an environmentally-friendly manner
3. Reduce our environmental footprint where possible and in a permanent way by:

  • Reducing the use of consumable materials, especially paper, and thereby preventing and reducing waste
  • Incorporating environmental and sustainability considerations in our purchasing policy
  • Promoting recycling programs within company offices
  • Conducting energy audits and implementing energy conservation programs within company offices
  • Locating new offices in Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®) certified buildings
  • Locating new offices in areas accessible by mass transit
  • Developing infrastructure and incentives to promote car pooling and the use of bicycles to reduce our employees' reliance on personal vehicles
  • Subsidizing the use of transit passes to encourage employees to use public transit
  • Reducing energy consumption in our offices
  • Incorporating these principles into our clients' projects where possible

 

4. Provide a safe and healthy work environment for employees through a
    safety policy and the CRA Safety Means Awareness, Responsibility, and
    Teamwork (SMART) program
5. Retain subcontractors that comply with CRA's rigorous health and safety
    requirements and promote the use of those subcontractors who support
    the sustainable principles described herein
6. Conduct business in accordance with a Code of Business Ethics
7. Provide support to improve the communities in which we live and conduct
    business
8. Develop a carbon footprint analysis and set reduction targets for CRA's
    operations with an ultimate goal of becoming a carbon-neutral operation
9. Become a member of the United States Environmental Protection Agency
    Climate Leaders Partnership
